**Yarn Requirements:** For this project, we recommend using Anchor tapestry wool in the following colors: 8014, 8132, 8412, 8938, 9096, 9212, and 9536—one skein of each. However, feel free to get creative and select any DK (8-ply) colors of your choice! The pattern specifies “body colour” and “shell colour” to guide your color selection. You'll also need small amounts of dark brown DK yarn for added detail.

**About the Yarn:** This project uses DK (8-ply) yarn with a standard tension of 28 stitches x 34 rows measuring 5cm over stockinette stitch, though exact tension is not critical for this project. Each 5g skein provides approximately 10m of yarn, and the composition is 100% wool for a lovely finish.

**Knitting Tools and Supplies:** You’ll need a pair of 2.75mm (US 2) double-pointed knitting needles, a chenille needle or tapestry needle with a sharp point and a large eye for sewing, and toy stuffing to give your turtles their cuddly shape. The finished turtles will range in size from approximately 5cm for the baby to 6cm for the largest turtle, making them perfect for decoration or for play.

**Knitting Skill Level:** This project requires basic knit and purl skills, making it accessible to knitters at all experience levels. Dive into this fun knitting adventure and create your own set of lovable turtles today!
