Two Sisters Hat

$4.00

Introducing the Two Sisters Hat, a beautifully crafted accessory featuring a delightful squishy lace pattern, making it the perfect choice for those milder winter days that we so often experience in the South. This lightweight hat is an ideal option for transitional weather, providing warmth without overheating. The design is inspired by the Two Sisters and Some Yarn Set from Sweet Mountain Crafts, aptly named after the popular podcast of the same name. Plus, don’t miss out on the matching fingerless mittens pattern that beautifully complements this stylish hat.

Yarn: The Two Sisters Hat is knitted using Sweet Mountain Crafts Scree Sock yarn, which consists of 80% Superwash Merino and 20% Nylon. Each skein contains 389 yards of luscious softness in a 100g bundle. For the sample, we utilized the Two Sisters and Some Yarn set, which includes a full skein of the main color along with two coordinating mini skeins (in vibrant purple and aqua) that each provide 78 yards (20g). In total, this hat pattern requires approximately 190 yards of yarn—comprising around 158 yards of the main color and 16 yards each of the contrasting colors.

Gauge: Achieving the perfect fit is crucial, and to do so, you should aim for a gauge of 5 repeats and 34 rows per 4 inches when measured in the blocked lace pattern, knitted in the round, with measurements taken from round 5. Please note that this particular pattern can be challenging to measure gauge accurately in the lace; we recommend using blocked stockinette as a reliable alternative, which typically achieves a gauge of 24 stitches and 32 rows per 4 inches, also knitted in the round.

This Two Sisters Hat pattern is not only a wonderful project for knitters of all skill levels but also a charming accessory that will perfectly enhance your winter wardrobe. Download your pattern today and start knitting your new favorite winter accessory!
