After just 6 inches of stockinette stitch, I found myself bored and seeking inspiration. That's when I decided to incorporate a striking contrast color and introduce some delightful texture into the piece.

However, my creative journey didn’t stop there! Eager to expand my knitting skills, I embarked on the challenge of adding lace elements to the design. Finding the perfect lace pattern proved to be a delightful challenge, but after some searching, I finally discovered a design that fit perfectly! I owe a heartfelt thanks to my talented friend from Mary E. Designs for charting the lace pattern. Her expertise has been invaluable in bringing this beautiful shawl to life.

This gorgeous shawl is worked sideways, with an innovative construction technique that adds one stitch every right-side row using a yarn-over (yo) method.
