Veela Mitts

$6.00

The Veela Beanie is one of my very first knitting patterns, and it’s finally getting a beautiful upgrade with matching mitts! These new mittens feature the same elegant slanting stitches and charming floral arrangements found in the original beanie, making them a perfect set. Designed to work up beautifully in a single-ply yarn, the Veela Mitts are versatile and can be knitted as both fingerless gloves and full-coverage mittens, accommodating a range of styles and preferences. **Pattern Details:** The Veela Mitts pattern includes step-by-step instructions for both fingerless mitts and full mittens, giving you the option to choose based on your needs. It's written in a clear, line-by-line format within a table, making it easy for knitters of all skill levels to follow. You can knit these mitts using double-pointed needles (DPNs), the magic loop method, or short circular needles. Please note that the thumb finishing requires DPNs or the magic loop technique for seamless results. **Yarn Requirements:** For worsted weight yarn, you will need approximately 100-135 yards for fingerless mitts and 140-150 yards for full mittens, using US 6/4mm needles. If you opt for light bulky yarn, the requirements are around 105-115 yards for fingerless mitts and 120-140 yards for mittens, utilizing US 7/4.5mm to US 9/5.5mm needles. **Essential Tools:** Gather your materials before starting: stitch marker(s), a tapestry needle for weaving in ends, scissors, and some scrap yarn or a stitch holder to manage your stitches while you work. Whether you are making these enchanting mitts for yourself or as a heartfelt gift for someone special, the Veela Mitts pattern promises to deliver both warmth and style. Get ready to create a stunning accessory set that showcases your knitting skills while keeping your hands cozy this season!
