Vinca Minor

$6.65

Introducing the exquisite Flower Power Fund shawl pattern, part of a heartfelt initiative to support the Marie Curie UK cancer charity. During April 2020, £2 from every pattern sold will directly contribute to this noble cause, allowing you to create while making a positive impact.

The featured flower for April’s Flower Power Fund is the charming Periwinkle, scientifically known as Vinca Minor. In honor of this beautiful bloom, DyeNinja has crafted a stunning colorway that captures the essence of Periwinkle. A portion of sales from this unique yarn will also be donated to Marie Curie during April, making your crafting experience even more meaningful. Although I couldn’t find any Periwinkle flowers to photograph the shawl with, I did discover some delightful blue spring blossoms that were eager to showcase this lovely shawl.

This knitting pattern is thoughtfully designed to be both fully written and charted, making it suitable for knitters who have a bit of lace experience. The flexibility of the pattern allows for size adjustments; simply work more or fewer repeats to achieve your desired dimensions.

Yarn Requirements: You will need just 1 skein of DyeNinja High Twist Merino Fingering, which is made from 100% merino wool, featuring an impressive yardage of 365m (440yds)/100g. Recommended Needles: Use 3.75mm (US5) needles for best results. Gauge: Achieve a gauge of 20 stitches per 10cm in blocked stocking stitch. Finished Measurements: The wingspan of the shawl measures approximately 150cm (59”), with a depth of about 58cm (23”).

Join the crafting community this April for a wonderful cause. Knit the Flower Power Fund shawl and share both your creativity and compassion. Together, we can make a difference, one stitch at a time!
