After completing section 7 of this stunning shawl design, you will have 349 sts on your needles, ready to transition into the beautiful edging section.

Section 8 - Edging
In this section, the elegant Trefoil pattern is created using color #3. This pattern is skillfully knitted onto the live stitches along the edge of the shawl, enhancing its overall beauty. To begin, take a spare DPN (double-pointed needle) of the same size as your working needles and cast on 5 stitches using color #3.

In a notable modification, you will eliminate rows 2 and 3 from the Trefoil pattern, working only row 1 as detailed below:

Next row: Knit 4, knit the last stitch together with the first of the live stitches along the shawl edge.

Once you've finished this setup, proceed to the complete "Trefoil Edging" instructions. When all rows of the "Trefoil Edging" have been completed, you should have 1 live stitch remaining on the edge of your beautifully crafted shawl.

Now, continue with the following steps:
Next row: Slip 1, k4.
The following row: Knit 4, and then knit the last stitch together with the first of the live stitches on the shawl edge.

Remember to work these last two rows only once.
