Voda
Introducing the Voda Pattern, a beautifully crafted knitting design inspired by Russian water and named after my dear friend, Neva. This versatile pattern is perfect for knitters of all skill levels and is available in three sizes, making it suitable for everyone from children to adults. Whether you're looking to create a cozy accessory for yourself or a thoughtful gift for a loved one, the Voda Pattern has got you covered.
Finished Size: Small (Medium, Large) [7” (8”, 8.5” around), unstretched]. With its various sizes, this design can easily accommodate different head circumferences, ensuring a comfortable fit for all.
Yarn: For this project, we recommend using Neighborhood Fiber Co Cobblestone sock yarn, which is a luxurious blend of 75% Bluefaced Leicester (BFL), 15% Cashmere, and 10% Silk. This high-quality yarn comes in a generous 400 yards per 4 ounces, allowing you to create a stunning piece that feels as good as it looks. The sample featured is in the captivating colorway of Washington Circle, which perfectly embodies the serene essence of water.
Needles: You'll need a set of 5 double-pointed needles or two circular needles, size 2 US (2.75 mm), or a size that will help you achieve the required gauge. This flexibility allows you to use your preferred knitting technique, whether it's traditional double-pointed knitting or the magic loop method.
Gauge: To achieve the best results, aim for a gauge of 8.5 stitches per inch in stockinette stitch when knitting in the round. This will ensure that your Voda design comes out looking neat and professional.
With the Voda Pattern, you will enjoy an engaging knitting experience while creating a stylish item that captures both warmth and elegance. Whether you're a seasoned knitter or just starting, this pattern promises a delightful journey as you bring the magic of Russian water into your knitting projects.
