To create your Waldorf knitted foxes and trees, you'll need the following materials:
• Four double-pointed needles in a size appropriate for your chosen yarn weight. For optimal results, I recommend using needles that are one or two sizes smaller than the yarn suggests to achieve a firm and durable fabric. I personally used size US 2½ (3mm) needles.
• Terracotta-colored yarn for the foxes. I used Nako Superlambs Special, which comprises 49% wool and 51% acrylic; it comes in a 100g skein, providing 200m of yarn.
• White yarn for accents on the foxes. I again used Nako Superlambs Special with the same fiber content and length as above.
• Green yarn for the trees. For this project, I opted for Ayaz Lif, a 100% premium polyester yarn that is also available in a 100g skein measuring 80m.
• Toy stuffing to give your foxes a soft, cuddly shape.
• A yarn needle to weave in those pesky ends.
• A stitch holder for keeping your stitches secure between rows.
• Natural sticks for the trunks of your trees, adding an authentic touch to your delightful forest scene.
