Waved Wrap
The Waved Wrap is an elegantly scrunchy and reversible shawl that features a unique gathering or scrunch stitch, more concentrated at each end of the piece. This distinctive gathering stitch adds a beautiful scrunchy, textured look, setting the Waved Wrap apart from traditional shawl designs. As you move toward the center, the shawl gradually widens, and the gathering stitch becomes less concentrated, allowing for a stunning visual transition that highlights the craftsmanship. Perfect for knitters of all skill levels, the scrunch stitch is created by skillfully picking up stitches with a cable needle from the reverse stockinette side of the shawl, 6 rows below the current work and knitting those stitches together with the live stitches on your circular needle. To enhance its appeal, a stockinette stitch rolled edging beautifully frames the shawl. Notably, this edging is worked as one continuous piece along with the shawl, promoting a seamless finish and minimizing any finishing work required.
