Materials Needed:

1. Yarns: For this sample, you'll need two contrasting shades of Alize Superlana Midi, a worsted/aran weight yarn. Use approximately 70 grams (~120 meters) of the main color (MC) in light gray and around 20 grams (~34 meters) of the contrasting color (CC) in black. To achieve the best visual effect, select yarns with high contrast; colorful, self-striping yarn for the main color can create an even more striking design. Each ball of Alize Superlana Midi weighs 100 grams and has about 186 yards (~170 meters).

2. Needles: You will need a set of 16" (40cm) circular needles in US size 7 / 4.5mm for knitting the hat, as well as a set of 4+1 double-pointed needles (DPNs) in 4.5mm for shaping the crown. Don’t forget a tapestry needle for weaving in ends and 8 stitch markers to help keep track of your rounds.

Size: This beanie pattern is designed to fit one size, making it a perfect unisex accessory. Dimensions: When flat and fixed, the circumference measures approximately 50 cm (20 inches). The folded depth is about 22 cm (8.8 inches), while the unfolded depth reaches 29 cm (11.6 inches).

Gauge: To ensure a perfect fit, aim for a gauge of approximately 20 stitches and 20 rounds per 10 cm (4 inches).
