Wee Owlet
Welcome to our delightful collection of hand-knitted owlet patterns, specifically designed to support your church community! I’ve been passionately working on these charming wee owlets as part of a transformative initiative led by the deacons of my church. In a unique approach known as a reverse offering, we wanted to give back to the congregation in a meaningful way. Based on the insightful parable of the three talents from Matthew 25:14-30, this project is all about multiplying our resources for a greater impact.
In this innovative model, our congregation received $1200 and was encouraged to take what they needed. Everyone was tasked with using that money creatively—whether it was starting a small business, funding a community project, or simply spreading kindness in their own way. After three months, the congregation will return the profits to the deacons, who will utilize the funds to assist those in need, providing meals, gas cards, and other essential support. It truly is a gift that keeps on giving!
As part of this wonderful initiative, I’m excited to introduce my creative contribution: the adorable owlet pattern! Originally, I sold pre-made owlets to donate to the cause, but I felt my contribution wasn’t fully complete. Even though the main offering has concluded, I am committed to continuing our mission by donating 50% of all earnings from pattern sales directly to the church.
