Weeping willow

Free

This stunning double knit hat features vertical lines branching from the decreases at the crown, evoking the graceful hanging branches and leaves of weeping willow trees. Perfect for those who appreciate both functionality and aesthetic appeal, this cozy accessory is ideal for chilly days.

Designed with my own preferences in mind, this hat combines double knitting for optimal warmth with a striking graphic design that reflects my love of art deco style. The snug shape ensures a perfect fit, hugging your head comfortably. Plus, thanks to the paired decreases, this hat is entirely reversible, allowing you to showcase a different look whenever you desire!

For knitters who may find double knitting a bit daunting, fear not! You can still achieve a snug and stylish fit using a regular cast-on method. However, if you’re eager to challenge yourself and elevate your knitting skills, I highly recommend trying the circular tubular cast-on technique for an extra touch of finesse!

A special thanks to my wonderful models [Jenn][1] and [Louise][2], along with my daughter Zoe, for bringing this design to life and showcasing its beauty.

3) When starting the crown chart, be sure to begin at row 1 and disregard any preceding rows, as they are not applicable to the current pattern.
