Whatever the Weather
In 2017, my sister made the big move to Holland, leaving me missing her terribly. To maintain our connection and share in her experiences, I decided to track the weather in Amsterdam and compare it to the temperatures I was experiencing daily in Auckland, New Zealand. This heartfelt endeavor inspired the creation of the Whatever the Weather project.
The project features two beautifully knitted cowls, crafted throughout the year, with each yarn color representing a specific band of temperature ranges. While temperature-themed crafting is a popular trend—with many temperature scarf and blanket patterns available—our approach stands out. By knitting the temperature of your own city alongside that of a loved one living far away, you create a meaningful bond that transcends distance. This allows you to feel connected to their life and environment, even when you can’t be there in person.
If you're looking to blend creativity with emotional connection, the Whatever the Weather project is perfect for you. Not only will you enhance your knitting skills, but you will also have a beautiful and personal keepsake that symbolizes the shared experiences with someone special. Join us in this unique knitting journey, and keep the spirit of your loved one close, no matter how far apart you may be.
