Wild Sage Socks
Wild Sage Socks are a beautifully crafted knitting project designed to perfectly complement the Wild Sage Mitts. These socks are created using a heavier-weight sock yarn, allowing you to work through the easily memorizable lace pattern quickly, making this pair perfect for knitters looking for a fast yet rewarding project. Additionally, if you're in the mood for a lighter option, you can knit the socks in fingering-weight yarn by following the larger size instructions.
These stylish socks are knitted from the toe up in the round, offering flexibility and comfort. You can conveniently choose between using double-pointed needles (DPNs) or the magic loop method. The pattern features my favorite gusset-and-flap heel construction, which eliminates the need to pick up stitches, simplifying the process. Detailed instructions are included to help you adjust the length of both the foot and leg, ensuring a perfect fit tailored to your measurements and preferences. Plus, the right and left socks are identical, allowing you to knit them two-at-a-time for efficiency.
This versatile pattern is crafted with both metric and US terminology for easy understanding. Whether you prefer written or visual instructions, this pattern includes both written and charted instructions for the lace design, catering to all knitting preferences. Please note that the pattern assumes you have a basic knowledge of various cast-on and bind-off methods suitable for toe-up socks, as well as proficiency in working short rows using the wrap-and-turn technique.
Gauge: 24 stitches x 36 rounds
