Windows Wrap
Before the Covid-19 pandemic limited our travel opportunities, I was fortunate enough to explore various destinations extensively, drawing inspiration for my knitting designs from the beauty around me. I eagerly anticipate the day when I can travel again and gather fresh ideas for my future projects.
One source of inspiration that has continually captivated me is ancient towns and their remarkable architecture. This particular design captures the essence of those historic locations, showcasing a stunning pattern that features intricate rows of repeating windows. The design incorporates two unique slip stitch patterns alongside a delightful garter eyelet stitch pattern, resulting in a captivating interplay of color and texture. This knitting project is relatively easy to master, making it perfect for knitters of all skill levels.
Yarn Details: For this beautiful pattern, I recommend using Miss Babs Caroline yarn, which is composed of 70% Superwash Merino Wool, 20% Cashmere, and 10% Nylon. Each skein offers a generous 400 yards (3.2 oz or 365 m/90 g). You will need a total of 2 skeins in the main color (Color A), showcased here in the elegant Slate shade, and 1 skein in a contrasting color (Color B), illustrated in the rich Underbrush hue.
In total, prepare to use approximately 690 yards (630 meters) of fingering weight yarn in Color A and around 340 yards (310 meters) of fingering weight yarn in Color B. This yardage includes additional yarn for creating a gauge swatch, ensuring your final piece turns out beautifully.
Whether you're a seasoned knitter or just getting started, this pattern invites you to express your creativity while enjoying the rhythmic process of knitting. Get your needles ready and let this pattern inspire your next project!
