For this project, you'll need 2 (3) skeins of Red Heart with Love yarn (369 yards/337 meters, 200 grams/7 ounces, 100% acrylic). Although the sample uses the now-discontinued Red Heart with Wool, any heavy worsted or aran yarn that meets the gauge specifications will work beautifully.

Yarn requirements total approximately 700 (900) yards (640 (822) meters) of heavy worsted/aran yarn to ensure full coverage and comfort.

To knit this shawl, use US size 10 (6mm) circular needles, ideally 32 inches (80 cm) or longer. However, you may use any size needed to achieve the desired gauge.

The gauge you should aim for is 13 stitches = 4 inches (10 cm) in seed stitch. While this isn't critical, it’s best to be as close to this gauge as possible for optimal results.
