Zombie Teeth
If you've ever knitted a shawlette and found yourself charmed by its intriguing colors, you might just relate to my creation, which I affectionately refer to as the "Zombie-Inspired Shawlette." While it might seem odd, this enchanting shawlette reminds me of zombies, possibly due to the striking variegated colors of the yarn. Having a quirky sense of humor certainly doesn’t hurt, either! Regardless of its inspiration, I truly enjoyed the process of knitting this unique piece. Designed to be knitted sideways, this shawlette features a garter stitch body complemented by short rows and delicate lacework, giving it an unexpected elegance that softens its “zombie-like” appearance. It's the perfect project to utilize those variegated yarns from your stash that you’ve been hesitant to use!
The finished shawl weighs 115 grams and requires approximately 130 grams of yarn for both the shawl and a swatch, making it a wonderful choice for a single skein project. Many of my testers successfully whipped it up using less than one skein, so you can easily customize this pattern to fit within a 100-gram limit. Just be mindful and keep an eye on your yardage as you work—this shawlette makes an ideal canvas for showcasing those unique yarns!
