Designed specifically with beginners in mind, this pattern is an excellent introduction to cable knitting, allowing new knitters to practice and refine their skills.
The unique texture of this beanie is created by using only left-leaning cable crosses, which are beautifully staggered to evoke a charming waves effect. MATERIALS
- 62 yards (144g/56m) of super bulky weight yarn (I recommend using The Wool from We Are Knitters for its softness and warmth)
- Alternative yarns: Malabrigo Rasta for a luxurious feel
- US 13 (9.0mm) 16” (40cm) circular needles, ideal for knitting in the round
- US 15 (10.0mm) 16” (40cm) circular needles for the main body of the hat
- US 15 (10.0mm) double pointed needles for finishing at the crown
- 1 cable needle to help create those beautiful cable stitches
- Stitch marker to keep track of your rounds
- Tapestry needle for weaving in the ends, ensuring a polished finish
