Danie Cabled Glove - knitting pattern

Danie Cabled Glove

$4.16

Welcome to the fourth release from the popular Warm Hands, Warm Hearts collection! This unique knitting pattern was inspired by a pair of fingerless gloves I made for my husband, Sam. The design masterfully combines twisted stitch ribs and elegant moss stitch, featuring an eye-catching cable that intertwines beautifully on the back of the hand. The addition of knitting the 2nd and 3rd fingers in rib while keeping the other fingers and thumb plain adds an unusual yet stylish twist to a classic accessory.

While you can certainly knit these gloves in a single shade, I personally believe that tipping the ribbing with a contrasting color adds the perfect finishing touch, elevating the overall design. For this pattern, the gloves are knitted seamlessly in the round on double-pointed needles (dpns), using the vibrant Fuchsia shade of my Baby Alpaca DK yarn, complemented by a charming tipping at the cast on in a warm Chestnut hue.

The pattern instructions are designed for ease of use, featuring a combination of written instructions and charted forms, making it accessible for knitters of various skill levels.

Finished Size:

This pattern is designed to fit one size suitable for the average adult ladies’ hand. The actual circumference measures a cozy 19 cm (7½ inches), ensuring a comfortable and snug fit.

In case you're wondering, the garment showcased in the photo is my Cap Sleeved Top from Knitting Issue 108. You can find this fantastic pattern, along with many others, on our website and Ravelry. Happy knitting!
