About the Gabriella Sweater Design The Gabriella Sweater is designed to turn heads with its stylish snug, cropped shape and delightful lace pattern. Perfect for expressing your unique style, this eye-catching sweater knits up quickly, thanks to the yarn weight and its cropped length, as well as the fitted silhouette. The sample crafted from a (grey) wool blend is knit in Eco Cloud, while the cotton blend version showcases the soft texture of Cotton Rich.

This versatile sweater is perfect for layering or wearing solo, making it a fantastic addition to your wardrobe for any season. Stretched dimensions are approximate and can vary slightly based on your personal knitting tension.

Gauge: Achieve the perfect fit with a gauge of 19 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in Stockinette Stitch using size 9 needles for the wool blend, or size 8 needles when working with cotton. In the Lace Pattern, aim for 18 stitches and 26 rows = 4 inches, unstretched, utilizing the size of needles needed to reach gauge.

Important Notes: 1) When using cotton for the Gabriella Sweater, you will need to use one size smaller needles to achieve gauge due to cotton’s inherent lack of resiliency. 2) As a size recommendation, I typically prefer the size Medium (32.5 inches unstretched) for my measurements of a 37-inch chest, although the size Small does have enough stretch to fit as well. If you seek a more relaxed fit, consider opting for a larger size. The dress form used to model our beautiful samples has a 35.5-inch chest and a 15-inch shoulder to waist measurement.

Whether you're a seasoned knitter or just starting out, the Gabriella Sweater pattern promises a fulfilling crafting experience. Happy Knitting!
