Gather Pullover
This stylish pullover is the result of great timing and an amazing team, specially designed for my trunk show at Gather Downtown LA. I was instantly inspired by the captivating Republic of Wool colorway named Smith & Wesson, which made it an ideal choice for the unexpectedly beautiful openwork back design. The construction of this pullover begins flat at the back hem, utilizing Mesh Stitch with Smith & Wesson as a contrasting color. The design then transitions over the shoulders, where the main color is seamlessly joined, and the front is expertly completed in a combination of Stockinette and Garter stitches before binding off at the front hem. The sides are carefully seamed to the underarm, offering a clean finish. For the sleeves, stitches are picked up around the armhole and knit in the round, featuring simple decreases to create a lovely dolman half sleeve that adds elegance to the overall silhouette. This project is an excellent choice for newer knitters, as it involves minimal shaping and uses stitches that are simple to follow and easy to memorize. More experienced knitters will also appreciate this pattern for its relaxed nature, as it knits up relatively quickly, making it perfect for a cozy weekend project or a thoughtful handmade gift. With its unique design and approachable skill level, this pullover is truly a must-try addition to your knitting repertoire. Whether you’re aiming to learn a new technique or create a quick wardrobe staple, this pullover pattern is a fantastic option that combines beauty and functionality.
