Giraffe mitts

After completing the delightful giraffe beanie, I found myself yearning for the perfect matching fingerless mitts. These charming mitts are expertly knitted using 4-ply sock yarn, making them not only affordable but also wonderfully warm for chilly days. Whether you’re commuting or enjoying outdoor activities, these mitts are an excellent accessory for your wardrobe. ;-)

What makes these fingerless mitts truly special is their thoughtful design. They feature a thumb gore that ensures a snug and comfortable fit, accommodating sizes S/M. They comfortably fit my smaller hands and also my mother’s slightly larger hands, making them suitable for hand circumferences of approximately 20 to 21 cm.

In terms of construction, the thumb is worked in a unique steek pattern on both sides, ensuring that they match seamlessly. When knitting the second mitt, you’ll create a mirror image of the first, starting with the palm instead of the bridge for an intuitive crafting experience.

Despite their intricate appearance, these fingerless mitts are surprisingly quick to knit up, making them perfect for both beginner and experienced knitters alike.
