Jade's Socks
ABOUT THIS PATTERN Dive into the world of knitting with this delightful cuff-down sock pattern featuring a classic heel flap and gusset construction. Our innovative approach begins with a provisional cast-on, perfect for achieving a seamless and tidy look. I highly recommend using Judy’s Magic Cast-On for the initial setup, as it simplifies the process and creates beautiful results. To guide you every step of the way, I've included a comprehensive video tutorial that details the cuff construction. After completing the colorwork, you’ll finish with a striking contrast heel and toe that adds a unique touch to your handmade socks. This versatile pattern is designed to fit sizes ranging from Newborn to Adult Large, making it suitable for knitters of all skill levels. You can easily adapt the technique for your preferred knitting method, whether using the Magic Loop method, double-pointed needles (DPN's), or two circular needles.
YARN REQUIRED For this fabulous project, you will need one skein of fingering weight yarn for the main color (MC) and one skein for the contrast color (CC). The sample showcases MC: 1 skein of The Yarns of Rhichard Devrieze Peppino in a stunning Gunmetal shade, crafted from 100% Merino wool (approximately 225 yards/205 meters per 65 grams). For the vibrant contrast color, the sample uses 1 skein of Hedgehog Fibres Sock in a Potluck colorway, made of 90% Merino and 10% Nylon, boasting an impressive 437 yards (400 meters) per 100 grams. Get ready to create beautiful, warm, and cozy socks that you or your loved ones will cherish!
