### Knitting Pattern: Medieval-Inspired Pouch
**Description from the Designer:**
This downloadable knitting pattern includes two charming charts for creating a medieval-style pouch. The intricate motifs are inspired by historical knitting techniques from the period, making this a unique addition to your knitting repertoire.
While the pattern provides minimal instructions for crafting the entire pouch, please note that it is not a comprehensive guide. It lacks detailed information on making the tassels and weaving in the drawstrings. However, the instructions do offer enough guidance for you to successfully knit the pouch itself, as the overall design is quite simple and ideal for various skill levels.
**Recommended Needle for This Project:**
For this project, I recommend using a circular needle, specifically a US size 5 or 6. A 16-inch circular needle works best to achieve the desired results.
**Additional Comments on the Pattern:**
Within the "cats" section of the pattern, you will encounter some longer floats. You have the option to either weave these floats in or allow them to remain loose—this is the approach I ultimately chose. Just be mindful that they aren't too tight to ensure a good fit. If your tension appears uneven, don't worry; blocking the finished piece will likely correct any discrepancies. For best results, using wool is advisable, as it enhances the overall appearance and feel of the pouch.
**Notes on Finishing Touches:**
You may also want to consider lining the bag due to the presence of floats. This not only adds to the durability but also elevates the overall aesthetic of your medieval pouch.
