Materials Needed: Yarn: For this pattern, we recommend using On Line Linie 5 Corafino yarn. Each skein is 50g/175m, consisting of 60% virgin wool and 40% acrylic. Suggested color is 48 Lana Gatto. Additionally, you'll need Mohair Royal yarn, with 25g/215m, composed of 80% kid mohair and 20% nylon in color 5894. Please note: Both yarns should be held together for optimal texture. Alternatively, you can substitute these yarns with a single DK to worsted weight yarn.
You will require approximately 98 (120) 131 (180) 191 yards, or 90 (110) 120 (165) 175 meters of each yarn. Keep in mind that yardage may vary based on your individual gauge and yarn selection.
Needles: This pattern calls for US #6 / 4 mm needles for the main body and US #4 / 3.5 mm needles for the ribbing. You can use either double-pointed needles (DPNs) or circular needles for the magic loop method. Adjust your needle size as necessary to meet the gauge requirements.
Gauge: Achieve a gauge of 21 stitches and 30 rounds over a 4” (10cm) square in the lace pattern when knitted in the round and blocked. This is essential for ensuring your finished piece fits perfectly.
