Construction Notes
Elevate your knitting skills with these beautifully crafted mitts, expertly designed to be worked from the cuff to the fingers. All intricate color work is executed seamlessly by following the detailed chart patterns provided. The main chart focuses on the striking body of the mitts, while separate charts are available for the stitches that surround the thumb gusset and the gusset itself. The addition of a delicate picot edge brings a touch of feminine elegance, making these mitts not only functional but also stylish.

Notions
To successfully create these mitts, you will need the following essential knitting notions: 2 markers for the thumb gusset, a tapestry needle for weaving in ends, and either scrap yarn or a stitch holder for managing the thumb as you knit.

Skills
This pattern is perfect for knitters looking to enhance their repertoire. It requires proficiency in 2-color stranded knitting in the round, as well as the ability to perform a make one (m1) stitch, which is clearly described in the pattern. Additionally, you will learn how to execute the picot turning row and picot bind-off techniques, both of which are detailed within the instructions.

Errata
Please note an important correction for closing the thumb gusset: while removing the markers, be sure to knit 6 stitches (or 5 for the smaller size) following the thumb chart on ROW 9 (not row 11). Furthermore, after completing the colorwork at the top of the mitt, break the contrasting color (CC) and proceed to work the trim in the main color (MC).

I would like to extend my gratitude to Chris Church (rchrispy on Ravelry) for providing invaluable technical editing for this pattern, ensuring that your knitting experience is as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

Discover the joy of creating these beautiful mitts that not only keep your hands warm but also add a fashionable flair to your winter wardrobe. With clear instructions and engaging techniques, you’ll find this pattern both rewarding and fun to knit!
