North Sea Wrap
If you're looking to create a stunning and functional accessory, this beautifully crafted wrap pattern is just what you need! Just a short walk from my home leads me to the breathtaking views of the North Sea, and during my adventurous trip to Tromsø, Norway, in early 2023, I was inspired to design this versatile piece. Tromsø, known for its three distinctive cathedrals—one of which isn't technically a cathedral—and three charming yarn shops, sparked my creativity as I purchased some delightful yarn which I transformed into this large wrap.
This wrap is not only stylish but also practical, designed specifically to fit comfortably around the shoulders with a unique longitudinal slit that allows your arms to move freely. It's perfect for days spent making tea while keeping warm and cozy. What’s more, it can be crafted in an array of colors; I chose 8 vibrant hues, but feel free to explore any combination that speaks to you and showcases your personal style!
The lace pattern used for this wrap is a simple yet elegant design based on the timeless "feather and fan" technique, making it a great choice for both beginner and experienced knitters alike. With the right materials, this piece can be knitted using any DK or sport weight yarn, offering flexibility and choice in yarn selection. So gather your needles and your favorite yarns, and let your creativity flow as you knit this charming wrap that’s sure to become a staple in your wardrobe!
