Plaited Linen Cuff

$6.19

Are you wondering what to do with your leftover bits and pieces of yarn? Do you have a few mini skeins that are just waiting for the perfect project? A braided bracelet cuff is the ideal solution! This fun and stylish accessory allows you to utilize those mini skeins or any yarn scraps you have lying around. Our stash-busting bracelet pattern is easy to follow and results in custom bracelets tailored to fit your wrist comfortably. It’s designed to provide an average fit with just a small amount of ease around your wrist.

Size Note: Each of the three bands in this cuff measures 1 inch (2.5 cm) in width. When braided, the overall width of the cuff narrows to approximately 2.5 inches (6.5 cm). Please note that the button bands overlap slightly, which reduces the finished circumference by about 1/2 inch (1.25 cm) from your desired total length, ensuring a snug but comfortable fit.

Yarn Requirements: You will need 30-50 yards (27-46 meters) of fingering weight yarn that achieves a gauge of 7-7.5 stitches per inch. This equates to roughly 8 to 14 grams of yarn for the project. Each individual band of the cuff weighs between 2.0 grams and 4.5 grams, depending on the chosen size. Additionally, you will need a little extra yarn for the button bands at the ends—which is approximately 1.5 grams.

To effectively use up your bits of yarn, we recommend using the Russian Join method for seamlessly joining the yarn prior to knitting the bands. This technique ensures a tidy finish and strengthens your bracelet for better durability.

Whether you're crafting a unique gift or treating yourself to a stylish accessory, this braided bracelet cuff project is a fantastic way to reduce yarn waste while expressing your creativity. Dive into your yarn stash today and create a beautiful, personalized piece of jewelry!
