The Pomp and Poms shawl is the perfect project to help you make the most of your beloved small amounts of yarn—ideal for when you have just enough to create something beautiful but not enough to make a larger item. This pattern is also fantastic for using up the gorgeous mini skeins from your yarn advent calendar.

The yarn requirements for the project include a main color (MC) of Rusty Ferret Yarn Doll, which has 425m/100g, totaling about 670m needed for the shawl. For the contrast color (CC), you’ll need approximately 155m of mixed yarns. Make sure to have a minimum of 3.5g (about 35m) of each color you choose to ensure your design pops!
The yarn pompoms will require 35g of your contrast color, adding a fun finishing touch to your shawl. You’ll need a 4 mm (US 6) needle to achieve the perfect gauge for this project. Once blocked, the shawl measures an impressive 240 cm wingspan and 58 cm deep, making it a striking accessory for any outfit. The blocked gauge is 19 stitches and 40 rows over a 10x10 cm area.
For those looking to enhance their crafting experience, a pompom maker with a diameter of approximately 3.5 cm will be very helpful for creating those fluffy accents! Don't miss out on this opportunity to be part of a vibrant community while putting your scrap yarn to excellent use. Happy knitting!
