Regalo Tie
Looking to add a unique accessory to your wardrobe? How about a stylish St. Patrick’s Day tie that’s perfect for any occasion? “Can you knit me a St. Patrick’s Day tie?” you might ask. Well, yes, friend! Yes, I can. This versatile knitting pattern guides you through making your very own tie designed to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day while remaining a fashionable piece all year round. This recipe allows you to customize your tie with any weight yarn at any gauge you prefer. For my sample, I chose to use Djinni, a luxurious fingering weight cashmere blend that offers a beautiful shine and a touch of extravagance.
Finished Size: This elegant tie measures 3 inches wide at the bottom edge and 58 inches long, making it a perfect length for various knot styles.
Yarn: For this project, I used Dragonfly Fibers Djinni Sock, which is composed of 80% Superwash Merino, 10% Cashmere, and 10% Nylon, featuring an impressive yardage of 420 yards per 4 ounces (Sample color used: Persephone). Please note that the sample tied up approximately 150 yards of yarn. As you select your materials, remember that your total yardage may vary based on your chosen gauge and the desired size of your tie.
Needles: To achieve the best results for this project, use US size 3 needles (3.25mm) or whichever size you need to obtain the correct gauge.
Gauge: For this tie pattern, aim for a gauge of 6 stitches per inch in seed stitch, blocked to achieve the desired texture and look.
