To fit foot sizes: S: 17.5-20 cm/7-8 inches circumference and 23 cm/9 inches in length (achieved by using the alternative gauge and/or lighter yarn). M/L: 20.5-25 cm/8-9 inches circumference, with a foot length of 23.5-26.5 cm/9.5-10.5 inches. The pattern is shown in aran yarn on a foot measuring 21.5 cm in circumference and 23.5 cm long, fitting the M/L size perfectly.
