Rosalinda Baby Dress
Dress up your little one in this gorgeous baby dress, ideal for newborns and infants alike. This adorable dress features a delicate lace stitch and charming tassels, making it a must-have for every baby girl's wardrobe. Not only is it simple and easy to knit, but it’s also beautifully comfortable to wear, ensuring your baby will feel as fabulous as she looks!
Size Options: Available in sizes 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 12 months, and 24 months. The finished chest circumference measures 16 inches (41 cm), 17 inches (43 cm), 18 inches (46 cm), and 20 inches (51 cm). This versatility makes it an excellent gift for baby showers or birthdays!
Yarn Requirements: This delightful dress pattern calls for 480 yards of cotton yarn for sizes 0-3 and 3-6 months, and 500 yards for the larger sizes. (Note: 494 yards / 452 meters = 100 grams). Feel free to use any similar baby-weight yarn that matches the pattern gauge for optimal results.
Needles: For this project, you'll need a US 2/2.75mm circular needle (32”/80cm) for seamless knitting or your preferred size for Magic Loop. Additionally, gather a US 4/3.5mm straight needle and DPNs (Double Pointed Needles) for finishing touches. A C/2 2.75mm crochet hook will also be beneficial for creating those lovely tassels!
Gauge: To ensure the perfect fit, aim for a gauge of 24 stitches and 32 rounds in stocking stitch, using US #6/4mm needles to achieve a measurement of 4 inches (10 cm) after blocking. Accurate gauge is essential for a beautifully tailored look!
