Southwest Mystery Mittens
Welcome to the exciting Southwest Mystery Mitten Knit-Along (KAL)! For the latest updates, be sure to check out our MKAL chat thread located [here][1]. You can also find comprehensive details about the MKAL, including participation guidelines and schedule information, in that thread.
Discover the beauty of traditional geometric weaving patterns transformed into delightful knitting projects! The technical aspects of color usage in knitting mirror those found in weaving, creating a seamless blend between the two crafts. Drawing inspiration from breathtaking designs, I set out to create a pair of (knit) mittens featuring bold, modern colors infused into timeless shapes. The final product is not only fun but refreshingly stylish!
Please note: The first "hint" for this MKAL is scheduled to be released on October 14, 2014. The pattern will be disclosed in four parts, with one new segment uploaded each week. At the conclusion of the KAL, the complete pattern will be available for download.
Krista from RainCityKnits has an exclusive kit designed specifically for this MKAL, available [here][2] as the full kit and [here][3] as the lite version. If you're eager to participate using this kit, remember that the pattern is included for free, so there's no need to purchase it separately!
This KAL features a vibrant pair of mittens, showcasing intricate colorwork. To complete this project, you will need four distinct colors. The smaller size needle will be used for the cuff, ensuring a snug and warm fit. Join us for this creative knitting adventure and enhance your repertoire of skills while crafting these stunning mittens!
