Stomp Out Cancer

$4.45

I was truly startled when two of my young friends on Ravelry received breast cancer diagnoses. In 2010, I participated in my first Susan G. Komen 3-Day walk to honor them, and as a result, I released my first fundraising pattern, Pink Lemonade. In 2012, I’m proud to announce that I will be walking again. Every dollar spent on the Stomp Out Cancer pattern will be donated directly to funding critical research, patient services, and prevention efforts in the fight against breast cancer.

Pattern Information:

This unique knitting pattern features unconventional shaping techniques that will enhance your skills and expand your creativity. Summaries are provided at the beginning of each section, serving as a helpful guide to what you’ll be crafting in each part of the pattern. It is essential to achieve the correct row gauge; however, unlike most knitting patterns, stitch gauge does not need to be exact for this design. This flexibility allows for a more forgiving knitting experience, especially for those of varying skill levels.

The socks are designed to be knit from the toe up, offering a modern approach to traditional sock-making. You can use a variety of methods for your knitting: double-pointed needles (dpns), two circular needles, or the magic loop technique—whichever you find most comfortable. Comprehensive written instructions are included, along with a chart that will guide you through the patterned heel flap, which is designed to be the most challenging yet rewarding part of the pattern.

Although this pattern is written for a single size, the finished socks are incredibly stretchy and will comfortably fit a wide range of foot sizes. This makes them not only a great personal project but also a thoughtful gift for friends or family. Join me in creating something beautiful while supporting a worthy cause, and spread awareness about breast cancer as you knit! Together, we can stitch to make a difference.
