Simply form a fist with your thumb positioned in the center or clasp both hands together for a fun twist.
Designed to fit an 8" (20 cm) palm circumference, these mittens are perfect for women’s medium-large sizes or men’s small sizes. To create your own pair, you will need three main colors of wool: classic white, striking black, and vibrant red (or choose any color of your choice for the cuffs; the pattern photo features cuffs in a discontinued shade). Each pair will require approximately half of each skein, making it a great project for utilizing your yarn stash.
For the thumbs of the mittens, you will also need small amounts of a similar-weight wool in three contrasting colors. In the mittens shown in the pattern, I opted for a double strand of aran-weight scraps in bright red, sunny yellow, and lush green, rather than super bulky wool scraps. This adds a charming touch while maintaining the overall aesthetic.
To achieve the neatest and most professional finish when constructing these eye-catching mittens, I highly recommend using the invisible seaming/mattress stitch method to join the fronts and backs seamlessly!
