Verdon Socks

I meticulously designed these cozy socks in a charming beach house located in the picturesque town of Le-Verdon-sur-mer, nestled in the stunning west of France. This nostalgic house, which belonged to my girlfriend’s grandmother, retains its vintage charm with original decor from the 1960s, including vibrant floral wallpapers, classic leather chairs, and even a collection of psychedelic pants in the closet. Knitting these socks became a delightful ritual for me—perfect for slipping on after a day spent on the beach, as I savor the refreshing salty air on the porch, accompanied by my favorite yarn, needles, or a captivating book.

The pattern I’ve created includes two versatile versions to accommodate different yarn preferences. One version is tailored for classic 4 ply sock yarn, while the other is designed for a thicker 5 ply sport yarn. Don’t forget to check your gauge and yarn weight to select the most suitable version for your specific yarn type and project requirements.

If you happen to have larger feet, you can easily adapt the 4 ply version by using a heavier yarn for a comfortable fit. Similarly, if you prefer a snugger feel, you can opt for the 5 ply version with a lighter yarn.
