Violeta - knitting pattern

Violeta

$6.00

This beautifully crafted pattern was originally designed to celebrate the launch of Hazel Knits Yarns at Bobbin's Nest Studio in Santa Clara, CA, during the renowned Stitches West event in 2008. It's an homage to the art of knitting and the rich tradition of handcrafting, perfect for both beginners and experienced knitters alike.

Inspired by my Cuban grandmother, a true artisan with a crochet hook, this design reflects the intricate lacework that she inspired in me. While she taught me the delicate art of crochet, I ultimately found my passion in knitting, where I could combine texture and color in new ways. The name "Violeta" is derived from the beautiful violet shades reminiscent of the flowers that filled her home, capturing the nostalgia and warmth of my cherished memories with her. The pattern’s design flows beautifully, echoing the same elegance found in her stunning lace creations.

Circumference: approximately 6 in/15 cm unstretched
Length: 8.5 in/21.6 cm
