Yellow Brick Road
One of my all-time favorite movies is the classic film "The Wizard of Oz." As I designed this stunning shawl/wrap, I was inspired by several elements reminiscent of the beloved movie: the iconic yellow brick road echoed beautifully in the textured rib pattern, the timeless white and blue of Dorothy’s dress, and even a few arrows that guide the way. These elements combine to create a unique accessory that will transport you right to the enchanting land of Oz.
This striking shawl/wrap is crafted to be 15" wide and an impressive 80" along the longest edge. The innovative design features one edge that is decreased as you knit, while the opposite edge remains straight. This technique results in a distinctive trapezoidal shape that adds dimension and flair. Needle: For this project, you will need a 3.75 mm 32" circular needle (or your preferred size necessary to achieve the correct gauge).
Yarn: The shawl utilizes Sweet Fiber's Super Sweet Sock Yarn in a captivating color palette: Spanish Coin, Paper Birch, and Abyss, with each skein containing 415 yards of luxurious yarn.
