Deadly Nightshade
Introducing the exclusive Super Sock Scarefest 2018 pattern, inspired by one of my all-time favorite Halloween movies, Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. My personal favorite character, the level-headed Sally, has inspired this delightful sock design! I absolutely love her iconic patchwork dress, and after attending an engaging intarsia-in-the-round workshop at VKL, I was excited to transform that vision into a cozy, knit-able design!
This unique sock pattern features a toe-up construction and utilizes a short row Sherman Heel, providing both comfort and style. The pattern cleverly incorporates various colorwork techniques, including intarsia-in-the-round (known as "Annetarsia"), stranding, and duplicate stitch. For your convenience, there are helpful links to detailed tutorials for the Sherman Heel, Annetarsia, and duplicate stitching techniques embedded within the pattern, making it accessible for knitters of all levels.
This creative pattern is perfect for utilizing those scrap yarns, allowing you to use up to 13 different colors! If you don’t have an abundance of leftover yarn, don’t worry—you’ll only need a minimum of 4 different colors to bring this stunning design to life. This makes it an excellent way to express your creativity while practicing your knitting skills. Whether you're a seasoned knitter or just starting, this whimsical sock pattern will add a festive touch to your Halloween wardrobe!
