Flowers, Just Because
As the vibrant season of Spring arrives, colorful blooms begin to burst forth all around us: on the blossoming trees, in vibrant bunches at local grocery stores and farmer’s markets, and as cheerful blooming bulbs in our well-tended flower beds. At this delightful time of year, it becomes nearly impossible to resist the captivating allure of fresh flowers. My kitchen table is adorned with beautiful vases of flowers, and my living room windowsill transforms into a colorful display. Even my husband joins in the floral fun, occasionally surprising me with a lovely bouquet, simply “just because.”
Inspired by Orla Kiely’s iconic Abacus design, this knitting pattern—Flowers... Just Because—features whimsical flowers set against a delicate lace backdrop. The addition of embroidery brings a vibrant pop to these delightful flowers, resulting in a charming piece that is not only fun to make but also a joy to wear. This unique design captures the essence of Spring and makes a lovely addition to any wardrobe, celebrating the season's beauty and whimsy.
