Introducing “No Point Intended (No Pun Intended ;-) )” – an exquisite asymmetric garter and lace shawl pattern that showcases the beauty of three stunning colors of fingering weight yarn.

This elegant shawl is expertly crafted from side to side in one continuous piece, allowing for a fluid design and seamless construction. The unique shawl is created through a series of beautifully shaped triangles formed by short rows, which together create a striking and distinctive motif that will surely catch the eye.

To create your own “No Point Intended” shawl, you will need three colors of fingering yarn totaling approximately 365 meters. For the main color and contrast color 1, you'll need nearly an entire skein of 365 meters. The second contrast color requires just 55 meters if you choose not to add tassels. If you prefer to enhance your design with tassels, you will need a total of 165 meters for this color.

For my sample shawl, I used the following yarns:

  • Main Color (MC): Purr-fect Twisted - Into the Woods
  • Contrast Color 1 (CC1): Purr-fect Twisted - Old Copperplate
  • Contrast Color 2 (CC2): Purr-fect Twisted - Tea Rose

Since the main color is used almost completely, it’s best to create your test swatch using one of the contrast colors to ensure accuracy and gauge. This will help you achieve the perfect fit and look for your new shawl.

To successfully complete this knitting pattern, you should possess the following skills: knitting garter stitches, increasing stitches, and working with short rows. This pattern is perfect for both intermediate and adventurous knitters looking to expand their skills.

The final dimensions of the shawl will measure approximately 170 cm x 154 cm x 97 cm, making it a stunning accessory that can add a touch of elegance to any outfit. Whether you're knitting for yourself or as a thoughtful gift, “No Point Intended” is sure to delight with its intricate design and rich textures.
